On Tuesday (12), Julia Kudiess set volleyball fans’ hearts racing. The middle blocker, who was announced by Novara (Italy) after leaving Minas, shared photos for the first time with her new boyfriend, Léo Lukas. At 23, he plays for Minas and was recently called up to the Brazilian national team.
Léo Lukas, a outside hitter for Minas, was eliminated from the Men’s Superliga in the semifinals. Although he didn’t reach the trophy match, his performance earned him a spot on the championship’s all-star team and an invitation to Bernardinho’s national squad.
Born in Iguape (São Paulo), he began his career at Campinas in the 2021/22 season. He later played for Santo André, Niterói, and Guarulhos. Léo joined Minas in 2025/26 and is expected to renew his contract with the club. During this time, he was a regular in youth national teams. Last year, he was called up to the alternative senior team—made up of new talents—which won the Copa América.
The first social media exchange between the players happened last Sunday (10), when Léo was announced on the “Superliga all-star team.” The Minas outside hitter was also voted the best in his position for the season. On Léo Lukas’s post, Julia Kudiess replied with a simple “You’re the best.”
In the images posted by the middle blocker on Tuesday (12), the couple is seen enjoying the family farm. In one photo, Kudiess is kissing Léo on the cheek, and he commented on the post: “Lucky me.”
