One of the most anticipated events of 2026 is the solar eclipse, set to occur in August. Many are planning to witness this phenomenon live, making it crucial to know the weather forecast for those dates as early as possible. Jorge Rey, a young weather forecaster from Burgos who specializes in the traditional “cabañuelas” method, has shared his prediction for the August eclipse across Spain.

“The cabañuelas indicate that during those August days, there will be heat, especially in the central, southern, and Mediterranean areas—it will be oppressive. In the north, we can expect calm, with good weather,” Rey explains on his YouTube channel, where he regularly posts forecasts.
