Before the 35th round of La Liga, a group of Barcelona supporters confused their own team’s bus with that of Real Madrid due to thick smoke from flares and attacked it with stones and bottles. The incident took place on Sunday near Camp Nou, according to Marca. The dense smoke made it impossible for the fans to distinguish which vehicle belonged to their club, and they mistakenly targeted their own team’s transport, damaging several windows.
Later, the Real Madrid bus was also struck by the same fans, with one side window completely shattered.
At halftime, Barcelona led 2-0, with goals from Marcus Rashford (9th minute) and Ferran Torres (18th minute).
A win or draw for Barcelona would secure the Spanish league title early.
